This course will introduce learners to the concepts of social media/ networks  and how they help or influence  information services across the landscape of information handling and management in the Information Society.

Expected learning outcome

At the end of the course, the student should able to:

        i.            Understand social networks and their role in communications

      ii.            Understand types of social media platforms

    iii.            Conceptualize social media in the context of information and library services

     iv.            Understand the challenges and way forward in the  use of social networks in information services
