An introduction to the science and technology underlying the use and production of horticultural crops and landscape plants. Structure, growth and development of horticultural plants from a practical and scientific approach, environmental effects, basic principles of propagation, greenhouse and outdoor production, nutrition, pruning and chemical control of growth, pest control, and the various branches of horticulture. Prerequisite(s): Biology and General Botany.
