Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Use your student admission number as the username and the default password provided by the Directorate of e-Learning (ODeL). If you face challenges, click “Forgot Password” or contact the ODeL Helpdesk.

Click “Forgot Password” on the login page, enter your registered email (University Email), and follow the reset instructions. If this fails, contact the ODeLHelpdesk for assistance.

Use the “Search Courses” option. If self-enrollment is available, click “Enroll.” Otherwise, follow your lecturer’s instructions or request support from ODeL.

Go to “My Courses” on your dashboard. If a course is missing, confirm enrollment with your lecturer or the ODeL Helpdesk.

Lecturers may provide an attendance register or a check-in activity within the course. Always follow instructions in class announcements.

Click the Zoom, Google Meet, or BigBlueButton link provided in your course. Ensure your internet, microphone, and camera are working before joining.

Open your course, click the assignment link, upload your file, and click “Submit.” Always check deadlines and confirm submission.

Click the quiz activity, follow the instructions, and submit when complete. Check the time limit and confirm submission before exiting.

Lecturers upload notes, slides, and readings under each course section (look for “Resources” or “Files”).

Yes. The portal is mobile-friendly. Log in via your browser or use the Moodle Mobile App with Kisii University’s portal link.

Yes. Use “Customize Dashboard” to rearrange blocks and personalize your learning space.

Report issues via the Technical Support link on the portal or contact the ODeL Helpdesk for login, access, or system errors.
