RISK COMMUNICATION

This course is designed to provide students enrolled in Masters of Communication Studies with a comprehensive understanding of risk communication theory and practice. Students will learn theory and principles of risk communication, how to apply the theory and principles into action, and how to evaluate and improve risk communication efforts. This course unit examines the role of risk communication in risk analysis, and describes practical approaches for ensuring sufficient, appropriate communication in the context of risk and risk situations.
